Icelandic visual and sound artist Sigtryggur Berg Sigmarsson is known for his work with Stilluppsteypa, numerous solo albums and collaborations with other artists, such as BJ Nilsen, Dennis Tyfus, Anla Courtis, Dan Melchior, irr.app.(ext.), John Olson (Wolf Eyes), Andy Heck Boyd and more.
He was born in Akureyri, Iceland and studied sound art at the Fachhochschule in Hannover, Germany from 1998 to 2003. Working on whatever spectrum has dada situation-ey performance vs. minimal laptop drone at each end Sigtryggur will be doing something somewhere within the community of his ‘zero point’ insanity.
