A recital of songs for voice and piano from “Trinity,” a song cycle by Joseph Collins Wicht, featuring Jesse Barrett (tenor), Samuel Brondfield (tenor), and Terrence McLaughlin (bass), with Wicht on piano. “Trinity” is unique in that Wicht has chosen to set multiple poet’s works to music, with the only constant being himself. Works presented on September 20th include songs based on the poetry of Robert Louis Stevenson, Joan Gelfand, Sir Henry Newbolt, Willa Cather, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Christopher Marlowe, Edward Thomas, William Ernest Henley, Pam Benjamin, ktle, and Louis Macneice.
