About Matthew
http://www.matthewcreer.com
Matthew Creer (b. 1982) is a composer and electronic musician based in San Francisco, CA. His short bios are often written in a form of experimental poetry that reflects his unique use of rhythm and pitch materials called just intonation. These poems are also directly related to his incessant urge to tell stories, create narration and be rather noisy, as he learned to do while growing up near Yosemite, California.
Matthew uses computer coding languages developed for musicians and artists to write pieces that are often for social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube. He also performs live computer music and has written acoustic music for performers such as Ryan Ross Smith, Crystal Pascucci and the Eclipse Quartet.
He has been teaching in the music department of City College of San Francisco since 2014.

Ctrl-Z is an electronics trio made up of Ryan Page, Daniel Steffey, and Nick Wang. Using an array of modular synthesizers, computers, homemade circuitry, junk, and other performers, they play composed material written, or adapted for, live electronics and video; often bringing in other performers to participate in their realizations. Music in their repertoire includes works by John Cage, Pauline Oliveros, Luc Ferrari, Ryan Ross Smith, among others. They are currently accepting new pieces submitted by composers, as well as realizing more classic works by pioneers of the genre.
