Harold Carr (bass, compositions) has performed and recorded with numerous artists such as Bobby McFerrin, Crystal Gayle, Lightnin’ Hopkins, John McCuen, Steve Lacy, Catie Curtis, Matt Flinner, Alan Braufman, Gino Robair and Andrew Voigt.
Harold has been a musician/poet-in-residence at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada, guest soloist at the Frutillar Music Festival in Chile, composer/soloist with the in Guang Zhou, China, invited poet for the Utah State Governor at the Governor’s Mansion, commissioned composer/performer at New Music America and artist-in-residence at Zion Canyon Mesa
He has worked with the Windolls Theatre of Images in Colombia, Hong Kong, San Francisco and Seattle. He has been a member of a number of popular Utah-based bands such as The Cowdaddies, Red Rock Rondo and blue haiku, the Emily Merrell Group, The Jarman/Kingston Quartet, Amnesia, Wood, the Mark Chaney Trio, and Te Azul. He currently works with Better off with the Blues in addition to freelance work.

Bruce Ackley (sax) is well-known in the free improvisation world, especially as a member of the ROVA Saxophone Quartet. He has performed with many others such as John Zorn, Henry Kaiser, J.A. Deane, Joseph Sabella, Stefano Scodanibbio, Miya Masaoko, Rohan de Seram, George Cremaschi, Garth Powell, Joey Baron, and Greg Cohen.

Andrew Voigt studied with John Adams, John Handy, Roscoe Mitchell and with the Japanese Imperial Gagaku Ensemble in Tokyo, Japan. He is a former and founding member of the ROVA saxophone quartet. Andrew has recorded and performed with Radu Malfati, Ed Herrmann, Anthony Braxton, J.A. Deane and others. He has been hosting the “Wednesday Night Band” for decades at Studio For in Oakland where he does recording in surround sound.

Flavia Cervino-Wood (violin) studied classical violin at the Conservatory of Music in Santiago and at the Universidad Católica de Chile. She moved to Brazil to join the band Grupo Agua, which toured South America and performed and recorded with Milton Nascimento. She moved to New York and performed with the Brockport Symphony. She then moved to San Francisco where she was active in the Latin music scene. She is a featured soloist with Sol y Luna along with Rebecca Mauleon and Michael Spiro. She has performed with Cecil Taylor, Marilyn Lerner and John Cage compositions with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company. In Utah she has performed and recorded with blue haiku, Red Rock Rondo (two time Emmy Winner) the Salt Lake Symphony, Hal Cannon, The Alan Michael Band, The Emily Merril Band, The Diamond Empire Band, Phillip Kuehn Orchestra and the John Batiste Orchestra.

Derek Coombs (piano) originally hails from Singapore, now based in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has performed all over Utah and surrounding states, from weddings to festivals, from galleries to warehouses. He is known for his energetic and grooving approach to not only Piano, but also Hammond Organ.
