Friction Commissioning Party!

Come out and celebrate the launch of the Friction Commissioning Initiative and help raise funds for six exciting new music commissions. The Friction Commissioning Initiative is a platform for generous supporters of the arts to directly support the commissioning of new music.
 Friction believes in working together with their community of passionate music supporters to champion the creation of amazing new repertoire that will live for generations to come. All proceeds from this event will be explicitly used for commissioning, and as a thank you, all attendees will receive a Friction Quartet “New Music Champion” sticker! Friction will be performing from some of their favorite existing pieces written by each of their Initiative composers, including, Max Stoffregen’s “The California Crest,” Piers Hellawell’s “The Still Dancers,” and more.
