Weston Olencki, Helen Newby and Bethanne Walker perform premieres by Dan Tramte and Santiago Diez-Fischer as well as music by Matthias Kranebitter and Chris Swithinbank, with a new arrangement of Michelle Lou’s untitled three part construction for trombone + two performers + objects.
hk&tcs is an ensemble comprised of Weston Olencki, Helen Newby, and Bethanne Walker. they have presented concerts on Switchboard Presents, at CNMAT & CCRMA, featuring works by Natacha Diels, Esaias Jarnegard, James Saunders, Matt Shlomowitz, Jessie Marino, Kurt Isaacson + classic pieces by Helmut Lachenmann, Bernhard Lang, Thomas Meadowcroft, and Kaija Saariaho. They sometimes perform with or without their instruments.
