Composing in the time of the Pandemic – The Second Concert

Just before the pandemic nine Bay Area composers joined forces to present new string quartets in a cycle of two concerts originally planned for the summer of 2020. The pandemic changed our plans, and the cycle became a statement of the endurance of beauty faced by adversity. We presented the first concert in the Fall of 2020, with new music written for remotely located players by Allan Crossman, Monica Chew, Davide Verotta, and Shawne Workman. Come listen to second concert of the cycle with music by Mark Alfenito, Allan Crossman, Jacob E. Goodman, Kyle Hovatter, Steve Mobia, Martha Stoddard, and Davide Verotta.
