Sunset Piano: Origins & Destinations

Mauro ffortissimo and Dean Mermell, cofounders of the Sunset Piano project, will bring their “avant-garden music” to the Center. Playing a prepared piano and a “liberated” piano, they stretch the conventional limitations of the twelve tone scale. Fresh from their fourth annual incarnation of the Flower Piano interactive music festival at the SF Botanical Garden, they’ll be ready to resonate with you.
