Albatross: Art Songs by Women Composers

This program highlights the voices of women in North and South America over the last 85 years. A rich history of song spans this time, but the majority of the work has not entered the canon of standard repertoire. We explore a variety of styles—from jazz standard to avant-garde—that showcase the breadth and scope of this important body of work. This program will include works by Rachel Peters, Alicia Terzian, Alice Ho, Jocy de Oliveira, and many more.
